Hi, Im Samantha Takizawa
My Background
I graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication and Integrated Media in 2017 and Academy of Art University with a Master of Arts in Sound Design in 2021. During that time I worked at a variety of media organizations including KCBS Radio and Zala Films.
My Skills
I have experience with a variety of editing softwares, including Pro Tools, Logic, Premiere Pro, and Audition.
From my work as a production recordist, I have experience with a variety of recording hardware such as Zoom, Rode, and Sennheiser.
I also have experience in multi language voice over recording and game sound design.
I love the collaborative nature of filmmaking and content creation. Having an understanding of the creation process as a whole allows for me to understand your projects from all angles to make sure your final product is what you want.
My Projects
I have had the privilege to work in a variety of mediums including feature films, documentary, commercials, podcasts, music, and live radio.
I am proud to be an editor for the San Francisco General Elections Recordings for the Visually Impaired.
I am thankful everyday that I have the opportunity to work with incredible filmmakers and creative minds to create media that inspires and brings joy.
In my spare time I love to cook for my friends, explore the Bay Area, and take photos with my dog. Enjoy some of my favorites below and on my instagram
